HANSA REST

We are very happy to be the flagship yoga studio offering these nuggets of restoration which will assist in resetting and down-regulating your nervous system, as well as giving your whole system a deep rest. The first half of the class starts with breathing and gentle movement before we wrap and rest you for the remainder of the time. This is next level of our signature wrapping, utilising the breath to regulate the nervous system before adding another level of wrap which helps the body and mind feel held and supported to release and let go. These sessions have been specifically designed to help steady and reset your nervous system.

SUNRISE

Designed to get you grounded and fully integrated for your day ahead, the Sunrise class will give you a steady platform of a 45 minutes physical practice followed by 15 minutes rest.

SUNRISE - MYSORE

This class is designed to help students develop a self-practice that continually develops over time. "Mysore style" refers to a city in India where this method of small group individual instruction is taught. While based on the Ashtanga yoga system, this class takes a flexible approach that encourages gentleness and steadiness. Mysore style is ideal for all levels - absolute beginners can slowly move through foundations with individualized instruction, and more experienced practitioners have the opportunity to refine and deepen their practice. 

QI GONG

Qi Gong is a moving meditation born from Chinese medicine.  It is a traditional practice designed to balance and develop life-force (qi) through a guided series of slow flowing movements and deep rhythmical breathing.  This is an excellent class to find balance, calm and a steady mind and is designed to be accessible to all levels.

GOOD MORNING

A slow class that gently builds in intensity consolidating basic principles on the floor which are brought into standing postures and transitional movements. This is a great class for alignment, functional movement, breathing, balance, strength and flexibility. 55 minutes physical practice followed by 20 minutes rest.

WEEKEND WAKE-UP

Ease into the weekend with a steady 45 minute physical practice, followed by 15 minutes of blissful rest.

GOOD MORNING GOLDIES

Approved as part of the national Strength & Balance Programme - Live Stronger for Longer, this class is specifically designed for older bodies, with constructive stretching and strengthening work.  It is designed to optimise mobility, strength and balance that will maintain or improve your quality of life, and is topped off with our signature Hansa Rest and great chats with like-minded people. 65 minutes designed for participants aged 65 and over.

LUNCH BREAK

A practice does not have to be long to be effective. Designed to fit in to your lunch break, this midday recharge is a 40 minute physical practice followed by 5 minutes rest.

SLOW LUNCH

The Slow Lunch is a time to pause in the middle of your day for a little bit of stretching, slow deep breathing, stillness and lots of calm.

HANSA REST SIESTA

Exactly the same as Hansa Rest but timed for a recharge during the afternoon energy dip before returning to the remainder of your day.

TEEN ZEN

This class is designed for high school aged students looking for improvement of their strength and flexibility, while incorporating tools to assist with a steady mindset and creating calm.  This is a 1 hour class which includes 40 minutes of physical practice and finishes with our signature  20 minute Hansa Rest.  This gives the body and mind a moment to rest, recharge and reset.

GOOD EVENING

The perfect way to physically and mentally decompress from the day and alleviate habitual tensions. This is a 55 minute physical class followed by 20 minutes of rest.

THE SLOWDOWN

This class will feature a smorgasbord of techniques for easing the nervous system including Meditation; Yoga Nidra; Yin; or Rest practices.
